Monday the 24th of October 2016

Dear Diary, I'm gonna be telling you about my yesterday. Before yesterday (Sunday), I was told that I'd be doing interviews for the premiere of a film called "The Grudge", I was informed on Saturday morning. Sunday came and as usual, I felt I had time, I literally lazied about and wasted precious time. When it was about an hour and half to go, I started running around, "hei my clothes! What should I wear?! Jesus eeee!! Which shoe should I wear? What makeup am I gonna do????!" I was practically disorganized! I managed to sit still and do my makeup without breaking sweat. Lemme tell you what happens to me when I'm tensed and I try to apply makeup in that state, I sweat! Asin better sweating o!! When I was done with the makeup, I marvelled at the fact that I didn't even break one sweat. Then I went to check my phone. Omo! Five missed calls from my senior colleague. "Shit! Shit!! Shit!!!" I cursed loudly. I glanced around to make sure my sister wasn't in the room with me as I swore (I don't like doing this in front of my younger ones at all, kids etc). I returned the call and the voice that greeted me was an angry one (oh boy!). I apologized and promised to dash out in no time. I pulled out whatever rubbish I could from my closet (a decision I regretted later), grabbed my bag and dashed out. He (colleague) was waiting for me with another girl whom I hadn't met before (i found out later that she worked with us) and we left for the Island.

Raddison Blu Hotel was the venue and it turned out we arrived early... VERY EARLY. I was annoyed. I mean come on!! I almost literally ran out of my house thinking I was late, only to find out they hadn't even started!! Sheesh! Diarina, I currently have the flu, imagine me with my flu in that air conditioned environment, I suffered o. I kept excusing myself to go blow my nose, it got to a stage I fucking stayed outside..in the car. Finally, event started. First the red carpet. This was actually my first red carpet interview so believe me, I was nervous, I wished I had alcohol, something, anything! Yet I managed. The Celebrities made it easy to talk to. I particularly liked Gideon Okeke, Richard Mofe Damijo, Doris Simeon and a few other Celebrities I don't quite know their names now. Even though I wasn't properly prepared for this, I managed to be calm and talk and laugh... I will live forever.

Dear Diary, Ugh! As cheesy as I'm about to sound, I'm gonna go ahead and say; HAPPY FUCKING NEW YEAR TO YOU!!! Hey, I added something new, I said "fucking". Dear diary, yesterday was my country's independence day anniversary, I suppose it's safe to assume you are Nigerian as well, you know, seeing as you're MY diary. Right?? Anyways, I had made plans with two of my best friends, Gabby and Trina, to go see a movie. I'd seen the trailer sometime last month and I was like, 'I MUST see this with my gurls!!' The movie is titled "The Women".  Do you remember that one time I was dying to see the film "Wedding Party" and i missed it? I couldn't let that happen again! Asin I COULDNT!!! TRINA.... Let me tell you something about Trina. That girl has serious issues with time. Trina is NEVER on time. If you like, tell her an event is by 9pm, she'd still not have gotten ready by then, there'll be one excuse or the other, you can count on Trina for excuses. Friday the 9th of June, 2017

Dear Diary, wassup wassssuuuuupp!!! (I'm not asking, I'm telling you). So the past few weeks have been packed with various challenges, and with these challenges came different kinds of emotion. I went from hyper, to meh, to omg, to angry, to help me! Etc I don't feel ready to disclose the basic reasons why I've felt this way. Hopefully I'll find the....courage? (Is this the word I'm looking for? I'm not sure but I'll settle for this) So, the "courage" to tell you. One thing I can say for sure tho, it wasn't easy, but there are people in my life who make it better for me, these people won't leave me (it seems). They have made it their job to "check on Amy, make sure she isn't drowning". I'm not mocking, I'm legit appreciative. These people aren't even my "family" (you get me?)
