Dear Diary, I apologize for the long break. I'll try to do better, observe more. People who care, have asked me to write and oh my heart loves them.

People know I'm a Feminist. I don't even hide it, neither do I care who likes that I am or who don't. If you admire that, more grease to your elbow, if not, oh well... But here's the thing that irks me, when people tag me to subjects that aren't even about feminism. For starters, you NEED to know the definition of a "Feminist".

A Feminist is a PERSON (notice how I didn't say "female"?) who believes in the political, moral, social and economic equality of the sexes (gender) regardless of race, ethnicity, socioeconomic class, religion, ability and sexual orientation.

These stated, I wonder how some subjects that have absolutely nothing to do with the subject of feminism, manage to crop up. How? Just how?

This past Saturday, I attended a wedding, a very lively wedding. Then it got to the part where older couples were to give the newlyweds advice on how to enjoy a happy marriage. One man took the microphone, opened his mouth as said to the wife, you have to leave your husband's phone alone. Don't even touch it, let alone go through it. To avoid trouble. Diarina!! My head suddenly started to ache, I think I choked on my drink, can't quite remember. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. That women shouldn't go through their partners phones?? Nigerians are one of the most hypocritical people ever! This isn't even a joke. So all of a sudden, she shouldn't go through her husband's phone? Ehn? But at the alter of God, "two become one" okwaya? But nooo, suddenly in this matter, we are not one. Issokay, may the lord have mercy on us. We quote the Bible when it suits us, we pretend not to know the Bible when it suits us. Aren't we just adorable?! I strained my ears for when the man would advice the husband not to go through his wife's phone kwa. For where kwanu. Then it was time to feed each other. The dear MC said, 'woman, it is time to feed your husband, you have to kneel as a sign of respect and feed him". The bride knelt and fed her husband. Husband feed your wife, nobody asked him to prostrate and feed his wife. Now here I am thinking, what is his own "sign of respect"? Does that mean he doesn't have a "sign of respect" too??

I have come to discover that a lot of men hate the feminism idea, perhaps because it prevents them from cheating women, as they like to do. Ndi oke sense!! And for the women who don't like feminists, pele o, we are good, it's you we are fighting for o, it's you we pity. Let your husbands continue to use you people to play volleyball, it's you who will cry on your pillows and come out smiling. Men who don't like feminists, sorry as well, dear sir, we are also fighting for you. You have passion for things the society have labeled "female things", we are only trying to make sure you get the SAME right as females do, so you can be happy and pursue your passion, but mba, you hate the idea. Sorry inugo.

To the Feminists all over the world, remember the definitions of what we are about, don't let these people who have no clue talk thrash about us. Get it right, drawing board.. Remember, A Feminist isn't a female, A Feminist is a PERSON.

Love and Light..

Dear Diary, Ugh! As cheesy as I'm about to sound, I'm gonna go ahead and say; HAPPY FUCKING NEW YEAR TO YOU!!! Hey, I added something new, I said "fucking". That's a change. 😁 I feel so disconnected from you, my precious book of not so secret secrets. Something got me interested in sharing today's 'experience' with you. Here's what happened. My breasts have gotten bigger. As in extra large. As in gigantic. Everyone is excited but me. Ugh! All my old bras no longer fit, still I have been holding on to them, wearing them even though they longer fit. Look, don't blame me, if you saw how alarmed I was last year when I discovered my breasts could fit a really large bra! Imagine how I feel now!! Its a lot for me to handle! Okay, I recently learned how to do breast cup measurement. (I'll post the chart for you to see), I all but fainted seeing my cup size. I am now a G cup! A FUCKING G CUP!! WHAT THE FUCK!!! I don't have any children, ...

Dear diary, yesterday was my country's independence day anniversary, I suppose it's safe to assume you are Nigerian as well, you know, seeing as you're MY diary. Right?? Anyways, I had made plans with two of my best friends, Gabby and Trina, to go see a movie. I'd seen the trailer sometime last month and I was like, 'I MUST see this with my gurls!!' The movie is titled "The Women".  Do you remember that one time I was dying to see the film "Wedding Party" and i missed it? I couldn't let that happen again! Asin I COULDNT!!! TRINA.... Let me tell you something about Trina. That girl has serious issues with time. Trina is NEVER on time. If you like, tell her an event is by 9pm, she'd still not have gotten ready by then, there'll be one excuse or the other, you can count on Trina for excuses. Knowing her, I told them to get ready by 5pm. I had another best friend (Blessing) call Trina to inform her that I had a flat battery and i ...

Dear Diary, wassup wassssuuuuupp!!! (I'm not asking, I'm telling you). So the past few weeks have been packed with various challenges, and with these challenges came different kinds of emotion. I went from hyper, to meh, to omg, to angry, to help me! Etc I don't feel ready to disclose the basic reasons why I've felt this way. Hopefully I'll find the....courage? (Is this the word I'm looking for? I'm not sure but I'll settle for this) So, the "courage" to tell you. One thing I can say for sure tho, it wasn't easy, but there are people in my life who make it better for me, these people won't leave me (it seems). They have made it their job to "check on Amy, make sure she isn't drowning". I'm not mocking, I'm legit appreciative. These people aren't even my "family" (you get me?) But I consider them family, I don't care what social studies told me. I was supposed to be in my state by now, technicall...
